Tucked on Lincoln Street, The Book Barn is your neighborhood destination for hand-picked stories, local author events, and the kind of book recommendations only a real bookseller can give.
The Book Barn opened its doors on Lincoln Street with a simple belief: that a great bookstore should be more than a place to buy books — it should be a place to belong.
Our shelves are thoughtfully curated, not algorithmically generated. Every title on our display tables has been considered, and our staff is always ready to help you find exactly what you're looking for — or something wonderful you didn't know you needed.
Whether you're a lifelong reader or just beginning your journey, there's a corner of the Barn waiting for you.
From the moment you step inside, you'll find something special — whether it's a carefully recommended novel, a gift for someone you love, or a seat by the window with a cup of coffee.
Every book on our shelves has been personally considered. We stock fiction, nonfiction, children's titles, local Maine authors, and seasonal picks our team genuinely loves.
Tell us what you're in the mood for, and our knowledgeable staff will point you to the perfect read. No algorithm required — just real people who love books.
Meet local and visiting authors at our regular events. From book launches to writing workshops, the Barn is a gathering place for the literary community.
Need the perfect gift? We offer beautiful gift wrapping and can special-order titles we don't currently carry. Just ask — we'll make it happen.
A dedicated space for young readers with age-appropriate picks, picture books, and story time events that bring the joy of reading to the next generation.
The Book Barn is more than a shop — it's a place where readers connect, ideas are shared, and Brunswick's literary spirit thrives year-round.
Join us at the Barn for readings, workshops, and gatherings that celebrate the written word.
